I'm having trouble with my J box. I can not communicate with any GM module on the low speed data line. That is pin 1 on the data link connector. I had a Mercedes in and I could not communicate with the ignition switch which is pin 1 on the data link too.
I called tech support, they updated the firmware and had me do a continuity test on the cable. The cable tested good. I still could not communicate on pin 1.
The crazy thing is that I'm having trouble purchasing the J box. They want you to purchase the whole kit for $1000. I don't need the whole kit, just the box.
Tech support told me to send my J box in for repairs. I forgot to ask what those repairs cost. I did find out that it would take 2weeks to send it in, then would it work when I got it back?
Unless someone has a fix or this problem, I'll be purchasing a new J box I guess.
